Professional epoxy flooring installation in industrial facility

Industrial Facility — Epoxy Mortar System
Heavy-duty self-leveling application

What Is Epoxy Flooring?

The Industry Standard for Industrial & Commercial Floors

Epoxy flooring is a high-performance coating system where epoxy resins and hardeners chemically bond to concrete — creating a seamless, monolithic surface engineered to withstand the harshest industrial conditions: heavy machinery, chemical spills, thermal shock, and constant traffic.

Unlike paint or standard sealers, a professional epoxy system penetrates and permanently bonds to the substrate. OSISCO specifies and applies systems from Jotun, Mapei, Sika, and BASF — compliant with ACI, ASTM, DIN, and EN international standards.

Seamless, hygienic surface — no joints to harbour bacteria or moisture
Chemical and abrasion resistant — engineered for your specific exposure
Fast installation — minimal operational downtime for your facility
Full QA/QC documentation — pull-off testing, DFT measurements, handover report

Six Epoxy Systems We Install

Every facility has different demands. We specify and apply the right system for your substrate, traffic, chemical exposure, and operational requirements.

🏭

Epoxy Self-Leveling Floor

A 2–3mm smooth, seamless monolithic coating that self-levels to a perfectly flat finish. Easy to clean, hygienic, and available in a full colour range. Ideal for cleanrooms, labs, and pharmaceutical environments.

🔩

Epoxy Mortar (Heavy Duty)

The heaviest-duty system — 4–6mm trowel-applied for extreme mechanical loads, forklift traffic, thermal shock, and severe chemical exposure. Highest compressive strength available in any flooring system.

🛡

Epoxy Coating (Thin Film)

200–500 micron protective coating providing chemical resistance, dust suppression, and easy cleaning. Cost-effective for storage, workshops, and light commercial use. Anti-slip aggregates available.

Anti-Static Epoxy (ESD)

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) flooring that maintains surface resistivity within IEC 61340 specified ranges — protecting sensitive equipment and personnel in electronics manufacturing and military installations.

Car Park Epoxy Coating

UV-stable, waterproof epoxy and polyurethane systems for multi-storey and basement car parks — including line marking, wheel stops, and waterproofing membrane integration. Built for extreme UV and heat environments.

Polyurethane Screed (Ucrete)

More flexible than epoxy — handles thermal shock, steam cleaning, and extreme temperature cycles. The preferred choice for food and beverage production where drains and thermal movement are concerns.

Our Process

How We Install Your Epoxy Floor

Every OSISCO installation follows a strict 5-step process — ensuring maximum adhesion, system performance, and documented quality assurance.

1

Site Survey & Assessment

Concrete strength, moisture, pH, contamination — full assessment before specifying the system

2

Surface Preparation

Diamond grinding, shot blasting to CSP 3–4 — the most critical step for long-term adhesion

3

Crack Repair & Priming

All cracks repaired with epoxy injection. Penetrating primer applied for maximum bond strength

4

Epoxy Application

Applied by certified applicators monitoring temperature, humidity, and film thickness throughout

5

QC Testing & Handover

Pull-off adhesion tests, DFT measurements, surface inspection — full QA documentation provided

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about epoxy flooring systems and our installation process.

How much does epoxy flooring cost?
Cost depends on the system type, substrate condition, area size, and project location. Self-leveling epoxy typically costs more than thin-film coating due to material volume and preparation. Contact OSISCO for a free site assessment and detailed quotation tailored to your project.
How long does epoxy flooring last?
A professionally installed epoxy floor with proper substrate preparation and quality materials typically lasts 10–20 years in industrial environments. Lifespan depends on traffic intensity, chemical exposure, and cleaning practices. OSISCO systems are specified to exceed minimum performance requirements for your specific use case.
Can epoxy flooring be installed in food factories?
Yes — epoxy and polyurethane screed systems are widely used in food and beverage production. For food factories, OSISCO specifies HACCP-compliant, seamless, chemical-resistant, slip-resistant systems. Polyurethane screed (Ucrete) is recommended for areas with thermal shock from steam cleaning.
How long does installation take?
A typical 1,000 m² installation takes 3–7 days depending on system thickness and drying time between coats. Light traffic is possible after 24 hours, full cure at 7 days. OSISCO plans all projects to minimise operational disruption.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyurethane flooring?
Epoxy offers excellent hardness, chemical resistance, and adhesion — ideal for most industrial and commercial applications. Polyurethane (PU) screed is more flexible, handles thermal shock better, and is preferred for food production, cold storage, and areas with drains. Our engineers recommend the optimal system for your specific conditions.
What surface preparation is required before epoxy flooring?
Surface preparation is the single most critical factor in epoxy floor performance. We use diamond grinding, shot blasting, or scarification depending on substrate condition — removing all laitance, contamination, and weak surface layers to expose a clean, open concrete profile (typically CSP 3–4). All cracks and joints are repaired before priming.
Are your systems suitable for petrochemical facilities?
Yes — OSISCO applies epoxy and anti-static flooring systems suitable for hazardous and classified areas in petrochemical plants, refineries, and power stations. Our systems comply with relevant NFPA standards and client-specific requirements including ARAMCO and SABIC supplier procedures.
